Your Maine Wedding DJ: Chris BouchardThere are so many barn weddings in Maine. There are so many barn venues in Maine, too. Such a saturated market means that it takes a lot to stand out as a barn wedding venue. 1812 Barn in Bristol, Maine has honed in on some aspects that make their barn, and property, very unique.

Elegance

It seems like any barn owner feels that it could be a wedding venue. Four dirty walls with holes in them makes it… rustic, right? Now, if this is your thing – I commend you for such a laid back rustic feel; however, for a few extra dollars you can have a rustic wedding with the elegance of a high class ball room at 1812 Farm. Sarah Maurer has put together a temperature controlled barn with walls that smell like brand new wood and lighting that sets a warm ambiance. When you walk in you think “wow this is a beautiful barn.”

The Property

As wedding DJs in Maine you get to see a lot of different locations… Sometimes it is hard to believe how many wedding venues this state has. Though each location does well with their landscaping and groundwork… 1812 Farm has a leg up on the competition. A small pond filled with lily pads and frogs to boot. Surrounded by beautiful flowers and a perfectly maintained green lawn. A small area to walk around the pond and sit if your heart so desires. It’s truly remarkable what this little taste of nature adds to the property.

The Amenities

A lot of Maine wedding barns struggle with the bathrooms. Fancy outhouses that aren’t heated, some have portable toilets, clients having to rent the trailer potties, and some other options that just aren’t comfortable in the middle of a hot summer day… 1812 Farm has an amazing, temperature controlled, rustic, bathroom setting in the middle of the property. Equipped with a small waiting area with a couple of comfortable chairs overlooking the beautifully landscaped property. The two bathrooms are spacious and comfortable, too. As a vendor, and a guest, you cannot be more appreciative of the thought that has been put into such a small detail.

The Tent

Our wedding performance was under a tent on the property in June 2019. Right next to the perfect little taste of nature – the pond. Some rain showers came through and the staff at 1812 had the sides up quicker than you could have asked them to do it. The tables and chairs were decorated to a T. The dance floor was square and level. You felt like you were right inside a wonderful venue.

Jamie & Scott

Were an absolute blast to party with on June 28, 2019. They had a massive wedding party and they all had traveled great distances for their Maine Destination Wedding. Their ceremony was at Pemaquid Island and the reception resumed at the 1812 Farm. Their first dance song Dan + Shay’s “Speechless” and their dancing was 90’s and 00’s hits from start to finish.

Maine Wedding DJ Services

We provided entertainment for the cocktail hour and reception of Jamie and Scott’s wedding. Cocktail hour had a satellite speaker near the mobile bar to cover the back lawn. The tent had it’s own independent setup for the main reception. Both were playing music in sync for a seamless flow of music all over the property.
