In May of 2024, we were privileged to DJ the wedding of Liberty and Nick at the 1812 Farm, and just like them, it is important to choose the right wedding DJ to match the energy and timeless setting flow like you envision. The property’s landscape requires a DJ to have multiple setups near the pond, on the large grass lawn, and inside the beautifully restored barn.
Liberty & Nick’s Unforgettable Celebration
Liberty and Nick brought a deep sense of humor and fun to their wedding during the ceremony. Nick’s best man dressed in an all white dress (you read that right – a white dress) as he was the flower-man, which threw everyone off guard! Their ceremony was on the lawn in front of the pond, and it was a beautiful, sunny, perfect May weather day. We provided discrete microphones and music for the ceremony, maintaining the intimacy of their small wedding at the 1812 Farm.
The ceremony recessed to the cocktail hour on the lawn, which featured music ranging from indie and folk artists to classic rock, with some pop mixed in. As guests enjoyed the outdoor bar and a finely tuned cocktail hour list, DJ Chris worked inside to ensure that he could mix in Mountain—Mississippi Queen later on during the night. Nick requested that Mountain’s hit be worked in during dancing, and DJ Chris did just that, as seen in this “Songs That Do Not Belong Together” video on TikTok.
Our DJs can beat mix, as seen above. DJ Chris moved seamlessly between decades and genres, reading the room and crafting a musical journey that kept everyone—from grandparents to college friends—moving. Liberty and Nick didn’t want the night to end, and we don’t blame them.
