On July 15th, 2017 I had the pleasure of providing wedding DJ and MC services for, the now, Rachel and Billy Kushner. A military couple, and family, traveled from all over to celebrate and enjoy the perfect weather at The Hitching Post in Dayton, Maine.
A small gathering of family and friends joined Rachel and Billy for their big day. Billy’s brother pulling double duty as the best man and wedding officiant… he kept it fun, uplifting, and heart warming as he stood in front of everyone and added an entirely new dynamic to the ceremony that one does not usually get to see.
Cocktail hour on the back patio of The Hitching Post under the warm July sun with zero humidity set the stage for a perfect night. While drinks were being had and elegant vegetarian meal was being made. The bride, groom, and the wedding party took hundreds of beautiful photos on the back lawn…
The night went off without a hitch…(pun intended!) It was hot inside the barn; yet, the guests danced the night away. Everyone had a ton of fun and I truly enjoyed watching the guests celebrate. The last dance was very memorable and unique. I’ll forever look back at it and be grateful that I was there to see such a loving group come together and share in the final moments of the night.
Rachel & Billy, thank you for having me as your DJ. It was a true honor to be able to be such a small part in your big day. Congratulations & enjoy your new chapter together as husband and wife!
