I sat down with Natasha and Jimmy, well over, a year ago to talk about their big day and get them on board with me as their Maine Wedding DJ Service. From the get go the lovely couple knew what they wanted, where they wanted it, and how they were going to do it…… For me this was a match made in heaven!
Their wedding, on June 17th, 2017, at Coolidge Family Farm in New Gloucester, Maine was a first for me! Natasha wanted a simple, yet fun, wedding and Jimmy was on board with that idea. I was able to create a more upbeat playlist for their cocktail hour and dinner based off some of Natasha’s selections and desires.
When I arrived, and walked in to the barn, I was greeted by Natasha’s sister whom showed me around and gave me an idea of what Natasha was looking for. Not too long after that I was able see Jimmy & meet his family/friends.
Everyone was super friendly, laid back, and absolute joy to be around… Jimmy’s dad, Jim, being a true gentleman and offering help at every whim. All the while he was trying to get things in the right place for his son’s big day… and by golly, with a little help we got him there!
The entire family had this willingness to laugh and enjoy the day… Their personalities, as a whole, shined bright when I was conducting the garter and bouquet because I was able to let loose, a little bit, and make the entire interaction a little more fun for everyone. We had some laughs as a group of people… celebrating… Which is how a wedding should always be!
Natasha and Jimmy, thank you for allowing me to be such a small part in your big day. Everything was beautiful & perfect. The smiles on your faces were ear-to-ear all day long. Your love and compassion for one another is infectious. I had a ton of fun and I cannot wait to do it again in 10 years!:)
