I am very fortunate to be part of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s event for the past 3 years. I have been at the Kennebunkport Consolidated School for a few years and it is always great to see a community of people coming together to find a cure for though struggling with MS.
Those Fighting MS
Are such strong individuals and are always inspiring. Listening to the speakers talk about how they came to their diagnosis and how they battle, daily, to be positive to find a cure is heart warming. Every year I see a lot of the same families, a lot of the same supporters, and a lot of the same volunteers bringing the event to life in May… every year.
As a Maine DJ
With no connection to MS other than the, yearly, walk it is always a learning venture for me. The rap sheet I have to work with at the event, the people I get to talk to, and the stories I hear are always a learning experience. Not being, personally, connected doesn’t mean I don’t have a fist in the fight. I am honored to help the National MS Society raise money in Maine! That is my fight to find a cure for MS!
