Yesterday, I had the honor of DJing the wedding of, the now, Karly & Nick Moulton. They had their ceremony and reception at Flaherty’s Farm in Scarborough, Maine. It was truly amazing to share with them as they begin this new journey together as a married couple.
On June 24th, 2016 I had attended the rehearsal for the ceremony to make sure the details were in order for the big day. When I arrived at the farm on Saturday, around 11:15am, the setup for the ceremony was easy; though, the wind coming from the marsh made crisp sound almost impossible – we were still able to hear everything. The barn is small and with 100+ guests it was very tight even with my newer setup. With a little bit of teamwork the caterer and I were able to squeeze in and make it happen!
It was a beautiful night outside and it was kind of stuffy inside the barn so dancing got off to a slow start. Right around 9pm there was a huge burst of energy and enthusiasm that kept the dance floor moving until we ended at 10pm. Blink 182 – First Date is how we sent the night off and it was an awesome way to jumpstart the after party planned for Sebago just down the street.
