More Than a Wedding Venue
because you can enjoy horseback riding, the warmth of a firepit on a cool evening under the stars, and connecting with nature. The Estates historic Austin House dating as far back as the 1800’s has that sought after charm that cannot truly be articulated but felt.
Staying in the Austin House with your bridal party and allowing yourself that freedom to let loose because the farm has all you need: Transportation can be arranged, local flavors of Saco abound, and what’s better than having everyone you love right there with you during the days leading up to the wedding?
Experience a great sense of calm being just outside of the city. The Saco River a hearbeat away, the countryside views, and the perfectly manicured grounds allowing guests and vendors to feel much more at ease.
What You’ll Need From Your DJ at River Winds Farm and Estate
River Winds property is unique in that they can set up your wedding day to flow in a variety of ways. When looking to find a DJ for your wedding there it is important to understand the possible equipment requirements a DJ is going to need. For Erin and Nick’s wedding we had a full setup inside for dinner/toasts/and formal spotlight dances. The ceremony was down over the hill in the backyard which is a good distance away – your DJ will need a battery operated system. The cocktail hour was a mixture of inside and outside on the back deck so getting music to flow between both requires a bit of technical know-how.
Creating the Ambiance
for a barn wedding is easily done with uplighting. Which we had provided for Erin and Nick on their wedding day. If you plan on uplighting the barn for your wedding consider that there are only two colors that work well with the dark wood inside the barn (any barn): Amber and Purple. This is because of the way the wood absorbs the light and how that absorption changes the color.

The Celebration
Was an enthusiastic party from the guests and couple alike. Guests danced inside the barn and enjoyed a fire out on the back patio of the farm. Drinks were had, memories were made, and the pictures speak a thousand words.
