Stephanie and Josh’s

Wedding at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, Maine was super special. Every wedding we are a part of means the world to us… But, in this case I, DJ Chris Bouchard, personally know the bride, Stephanie, and her mother is friends with mine. Josh is a military man and Stephanie works in the medical field at a hospital in New Hampshire. Stephanie’s roots are in Maine and it made her decision on what venue to use super difficult. Adding to the difficulty of venue choice was her wedding date. Josh was being deployed and they wanted to tie the knot before he was gone for some time. Their wedding was on shorter notice, than most, and it offered some unique challenges that Stephanie had to overcome.

Maine Disc Jockey Services Provided

We had the opportunity to provide Stephanie and Josh with ceremony audio and a reception inside the Nonantum Resort. Their cocktail hour was in a separate location, nearby the reception, and we had provided satellite music in that room. Maine wedding uplighting was added to their wedding package. Stephanie chose blue uplighting for her reception to match the decor she had chosen. It was a stellar look and warm feel.

The Ceremony

At the Nonantum can be in a couple of different locations. For Stephanie and Josh we were near the lighthouse on the property. We provided sound reinforcement with microphones to accommodate some hearing concerns for particular guests. This satellite setup worked very well with the ocean wind all around and the commotion of the busy Kennebunkport area not far away. Stephanie’s march down the aisle was to the tune of Roy & Rosemary – Unchained Melody and they recessed to Adam Sandlers – I Want To Grow Old With You

The Reception

The dinner provided by the Nonantum was perfect and the few formalities were very special. Stephanie’s best friend, Nick, is also someone I grew up knowing and he provided a very thoughtful toast. The guests danced to many of your wedding floor fillers from the 60s. 70s, and 80s. With their sparkler send off happening before the end of the night we were able to get some heavy 00’s and 90’s in before ending with Opeth – Face of Melinda.
