Portland, Maine
If you live in Maine and you’re looking to get engaged… Why wouldn’t you choose the 2018 Restaurant City of the Year? Stellar places to eat, historic buildings and cobblestone roads, oceanic views, and ferry rides through Casco Bay. I’ve already said “yes” and no one asked me to get married….

Fort Williams Park – Cape Elizabeth, ME
As seen in this photo, by Nicholas Bowie-Haskell, my wife and I had our engagement photos done at Fort Williams. I am going to leave you with this: If I could do it all over again I would have gotten engaged at Portland Headlight. The scenery, the history, and the endless options to get down on one knee and ask for a forever-partner. Would have, should have, could have. Don’t be me – choose Fort Williams.

Pine Point Beach – Scarborough, Maine
I could be a little biased here…. Because I grew up across the street from this white sanded heaven. But, who doesn’t want to experience the white sands of Maine’s coast, the cool sea breeze, and the relaxing waves falling in the background. Believe it or not Pine Point, Scarborough is just as beautiful, if not more, in the winter as it is the summer. Go pop the question here! Do it on a Thursday night in the middle of the summer and have the fireworks from Old Orchard Beach in the background.
