Your Maine Wedding DJ: Chris BouchardAt the time of this blog I don’t know if Point Lookout is even doing weddings anymore. The facility changed owners, a little while back, and subsequently canceled all of the 2020 weddings. It was a very sad thing to hear that this beautiful location would no longer be home to countless couples tying to the knot; however, I got to experience Point Lookout, for the first time, on March 23, 2019. It was my first time and it was my last time, too.

Kayla & Casey’s Ceremony

Was onsite at Point Lookout. They had an attached room with built in sound equipment and microphones that were used. The ceremony soundtrack was full of instrumentals ranging from Beauty and The Beast to Stevie Wonder. Short and sweet but full of laughter and love Kayla & Casey said their “I Do’s” and began the cocktail hour….

Cocktail Hour

Was in an open lobby with the bar and a separate room, overlooking the mountains & ocean, attached. At the time, you could plug in your music source and pump the desired playlist throughout the three areas. Each room having its own volume control so that you could fine tune what guests were hearing. It was a very nice touch to have everything built in. Clean, seamless, and modern!

Reception

A full house in the semicircular hall where the guests enjoyed the introductions and dinner. When getting to the dancing guests enjoyed a mix of 70’s through 2010’s… Even Kayla and Casey had preferences geared towards the classics. A great party and a ton of fun was had that night. I am happy that my one time to Point Lookout in Northport, Maine was one to remember forever!
