The Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls, Maine lies on Route 11 in what appears to be the middle of nowhere. The building is set back a few hundred feet from the road amongst locals housing on a dirt driveway that if you didn’t know it was there you could, and probably would, drive right by.
Don’t let the location or the driveway fool you! This venue is full of life and has a lot to offer for your wedding!
There are two entrances to the facility: One entrance brings you into the small, but functional, banquet center and the other into the dance hall with a full stage, kitchen, dance floor, dance lighting, and enough seating for the biggest wedding you could plan. Both the banquet center and dance hall are connected by a small hallway.
Everything about The Silver Spur screams “country”. You’re in the middle of one of Maine’s smallest towns. The name of the venue is “The Silver Spur”, what isn’t country about that? There are barns painted on the outside as well on the inside in back of the stage. If you’re looking for a venue that is rustic but also isn’t a barn… The Silver Spur could be the solution to your problem!
Almost everywhere you look, inside the banquet hall, you will see cowboy hats, spurs, horseback riding gear and apparel and who knows what else I didn’t see while at the venue!
My favorite part about The Silver Spur was the food! Home cooked by one of the owners of the venue… Pulled pork, pulled chicken, home made mac and cheese, as well as potato and macaroni salad… Corn on the cob, it was a BBQ for the masses! Every bit of it was delicious and my hat goes off to her for creating such great food for a large amount of people.
I visited The Silver Spur to DJ a wedding but you could have numerous type of events here. The venue has a ton of things going on and you can visit their Facebook page for those details! Add another venue to the list of many for Bouchard Sound Services!
