Morgan and Kyle

Got married on a piece of property located across the street from their home in Dresden, Maine. The field that had been mowed overlooked a river and offered a very rustic atmosphere. The ceremony and reception did not have a power source and it required some creativity with generators for the reception and a battery operated sound system, with microphones, for their ceremony. While also being one of the bigger Maine Wedding Ceremonies that we have been a part of it was also very unique – Morgan had a door built that could be opened, and closed, the processional & recessional of their ceremony. It was very well done and it made for an entrance similar to being at a church.

Maine Disc Jockey Services

We provided a sound system that is larger than your average DJ setup for a wedding in Maine. The guest count for Morgan and Kyles wedding was large and the tent was massive. Our normal setup required two additional speakers to span the vast length of the tent. The battery operated ceremony required no power. With the large guest count we had to reinforce our normal setup with an additional speaker towering over the heads of the guests to make sure everyone could hear. Though well outside of our normal wedding setup the sound was spot on and felt good.

The Reception

As DJs in Maine we get to experience a lot of different approaches to a wedding reception. Morgan and Kyle spared no expense at making sure their guests experienced a high class reception with a laid back country feel. The meal provided by Hurricanes Catering was delicious and the rentals by Affordable Events made for an evening of fine dining in class. After an evening of formalities like their first dance with Travis Tritts “Love of a Woman” and a dollar dance with The Barenakedladies – If I had $1,000,000 we had a good time before the dancing started.

The Party

Morgan and Kyles wedding guests brought the intensity. Dancing to everything from 90’s Shania Twain to Kygo and Whitney Houston. The dancing was intense, memorable, and a ton of fun. We even had a few karaoke style moments where one of their friends showed off his stellar country voice. This isn’t something we normally do at a wedding but making the exception in this case truly paid off. We had a ton of fun and everyone drank and enjoyed the perfect September weather.
