Maine Wedding DJYesterday I had the honor of DJing the wedding of Alyssa and Aaron “Spud” Thomas. They had their wedding at the Hardy Farm in Fryeburg, Maine.

The ceremony started at 4pm in a small wooded area located on the property. The wooden benches, made of old stumps and rough cut wood, and an arbor also made of, what looks like, rough cut trees, is a beautiful rustic location for a ceremony of any kind! I have DJ’d a lot of ceremonies but Alyssa & Aaron had one of the most heartfelt moments at the altar when reading their vows to one another. It was at this moment that I truly fell in love with this couple.

Hardy Farm has a huge tent just a short walking distance from the rustic wooded area and we had cocktail hour and dinner here. The day was a scorcher… 89 degrees and as humid as you could possibly imagine… but the guests made themselves comfortable with fresh fruit, cheese, crackers, and drinks while the bride and groom took pictures. We had dinner, catered by Famous Daves, and holy was it good!

The barn at Hardy Farm was one of the smallest places I have ever DJ’d. How could such a small space have so much character and warmth to it? I really enjoyed being able experience the first dances, parent dances, and all of the other formalities inside the barn! I was upstairs while the little room below was filled with over 100 guests circling the dance floor… it was definitely a totally different atmosphere and I truly loved it!

My second wedding of 2016 was a doozy but a lot of fun! Thank you Alyssa and Aaron for having me as part of your day. You two are a truly amazing couple who shine from the outside and inspire others to find a love like yours. Here’s to you and the many happy years to come!
