It’s no secret that there are a lot of wedding venues in Maine; actually, I am continually amazed by the inquiries I get for places that I never knew existed. As a DJ I have spent lot of time on the road and I have come up with the 3 places that I love to spend my Fridays & Saturdays at. Now, I may be a little biased, but these places will leave you and your guests in awe.

1. Union Bluff Meeting House – York, Maine
York is a staple for the visitors that come from all over to see the coasts of Maine. The York Beaches are a natural beauty that anyone would consider themselves blessed to see. How does this relate to getting married? Well, The Union Bluff Meeting house is perched atop a small hill that overlooks York Beach. The ballroom, the stone patio, and the ceremony spot are all to-die-for.

2. Flaherty Farm Event Barn – Scarborough, ME
I grew up in Scarborough, Maine and Flaherty’s Farm wasn’t always this beautiful, rustic, wedding venue. When I was growing up this barn had cows in it! The family has turned this old barn into a beautiful place to get married on a a very well manicured plot of land. The barn isn’t nearly as great as the family who owns the farm. Get married at Flaherty Farm Event Barn and feel like you’re right at home.

3. Sliders: The Jordan Hotel – Newry, Maine
Sunday River is one of Maine’s biggest attractions for skiers and snowboarding fanatics. I guess if you like snow shoeing you’ll find something to do at Sunday River as well! Sunday River’s best kept secret are their Spring through Fall weddings! I’ve enjoyed being part of numerous weddings at Sliders. I welcome any experience I can have with my brides and grooms overlooking the mountains of Maine!
