This past weekend I was blessed with the opportunity to provide DJ & MC services for Scott and Anastasia at a private home near Shawnee Peak, Ski Resort, in Maine. Scott and Anastasia were already husband and wife at the time of the ceremony but that did not stop them from getting married “traditionally” and partying hard during their reception.

Their Story

Scott and Anastasia (Stacey) celebrated their original marriage in a Greek fashion. Scott lived near the owner of this home, near Shawnee Peak, when he was growing up as a kid. Now living in Massachusetts Scott wanted to bring his reception back home so him and Stacey could dance the night away. The view of the White Mountains behind them for their ceremony and a life of happiness awaiting them in the future.

Ceremony

I provided a microphone and small sound system for their ceremony. Stacey’s uncle played the guitar and sang for their prelude & processional. The couples vows were sweet, heartfelt, and admirable. I found it hard to have dry eyes while they shared in such a special moment. As quickly as the ceremony started  No music was needed for their recessional as the guests were loud and proud to watch them exit down the aisle.

Reception

A wedding is usually a mixed crowd of young, older, and children. The crowd for Scott and Stacey’s wedding was primarily young with a smattering of parents and children… but, not many. The dancing crowd was the young crowd and we stuck with the 90’s and 2000’s while the dance floor was on fire. To stay true to Scott’s Greek heritage we also played a couple of traditional Greek wedding songs while the guests did the “Greek Circle Dance”.

In Anastasias Words:
“Chris made our wedding day absolutely fabulous! The dance floor was full the entire time, our timeline ran WAY behind schedule and Chris was so accommodating and helpful day of in helping re-coordinate. We had a preliminary meeting about a month before the wedding and explained our very confusing music taste and he completely nailed the description on our wedding day. Thank you so much for contributing to our special day!”
