lia-ethan-091716-fernwood-coveBack in mid-September I had the pleasure of DJ’ing the wedding of, the now, Lia & Ethan Bensley. Their wedding was at Fernwood Cove which is an all girls summer camp during the summer.

Don’t be fooled! This venue overlooks the lake in Harrison, ME, provides housing for your guests, has a balcony overlooking the grassy knoll where the cocktail hour is held, and provides a rustic barn feel that you wouldn’t expect from a summer camp. The rustic barn interior of the camp is achieved through a stone fireplace, wooden walls/ceilings/floors, and a large handmade ceiling fan.

Lia and Ethan had their ceremony down on the water. The altar located on the dock and their guests seated just before the start of the boat dock. Lia’s walk from the top of the hill, down the stone staircase, all the way to the altar, was not only beautiful but a fairytale sight to see.

With their dog at their side the ceremony was intimate, full of laughter, love, and genuine happiness radiating from everyone involved.

We had a long cocktail hour as the newlyweds took photos; having been over a month since the wedding I have had the opportunity to see some of the photos taken and they’re just as breath taking as the bride and groom themselves.

Freshly made, hand tossed, wood fire, pizza was provided by Harvest Moon. The smell of the basil, tomatoes, and all of the fresh locally sourced ingredients were to die for. To top off this beautiful wedding the bride, groom, and their guests danced their hearts out until the very end. It’s always so much fun when the guests are enjoying themselves.

Lia and Ethan your day was beautiful! Thank you so much for allowing me the pleasure to be such a small part of it. Congratulations, you’re both beautiful together!
