Yesterday, I had the pleasure to DJ the wedding of, the now, Sam and Ben Grant at A Barn in Dayton, Maine. I had the honor to be part of both their ceremony and their reception which were both held inside the barn, even though this was not the original plan!
Because Mother Nature was in a poor mood yesterday we had to move the ceremony indoors, at the last moment, as the rain was getting worse and never better. It was crowded inside the barn, and a little hard to hear, but it was perfect nonetheless. We had to team up and get chairs from the outdoor location inside and dry them off, get an aisle set up, and I had to prepare music, all in a matter of minutes. The teamwork of the guests was truly a great thing to see!
One of Sam’s bridesmaids, Maggie, performed a song for the bride and grooms first dance as well as Adam Sandlers “Grow Old With You” later in the night on a ukulele. It was a personal touch to the wedding and it was beautiful to see! It made everyone smile!
What a beautiful wedding had at A Barn yesterday! I loved every moment of the day. Thank you Sam and Ben for having me! Its truly an honor to have shared in your new chapter of your life.
